Blonde to Black Produce Ben Charles Edwards’ Feature Debut
SET THE THAMES ON FIRE is the darkly comic story of Art and Sal, who live in a dream-like, fantasy-based London, of huge sparkling stars and shifting alleyways, full of danger and adventure and where the river Thames rejects the dead. It will star Noel Fielding, Sally Phillips, and Michael Winder and Max Bennett as Art and Sal, respectively.

“The reason we chose to produce Set The Thames on Fire is because we think that it is a very strong script and Ben has a unique vision. I have worked with Ben on many projects over the last seven years,” Frost said in The Hollywood Reporter. The project reunites Edwards with Frost and Blonde To Black after they made short film Dotty, which starred Rudy Law, the youngest son of Jude Law and Frost.
The script, written with his friend Al Joshua, is partly based on their time living together in Shoreditch, Edwards told the London based Eastend Review, “The film is true to East London. They’re all familiar places – they’re just set in another world. A lot of the locations are in Hackney and Shoreditch.”
Production began late 2014 on location in London. Director Ben Charles Edwards Writer Al Joshua DOP Sergio Delgado Producers Sadie Frost, Emma Comley, Anna Smith & Andrew Green
